ROWING ON LAKE WHITEHURST

We are fortunate to call Lake Whitehurst our home for EVSRA regattas. This beautiful freshwater lake adjacent to the Norfolk International Airport provides sheltered rowing for up to six boats at a time.

The regatta grounds provide exceptional spectator viewing for the last 1000 meters of our 1,400 meter scholastic course. Facilities include modern heated restrooms, picnic facilities and access to the world class collection of plants, shrubs and flowers in the incomparable Norfolk Botanical Garden. We strongly encourage regular regatta participants to purchase an NBG family membership. Members receive free parking for regattas on Lake Whitehurst and a year of unlimited access to the Garden’s breathtaking beauty.
